Job Title: Senior Manager – Production Planning and Controlling (PPC)
Reports to: Plant Manager / V. P. Operations
Job Summary:
The Senior Manager – PPC is responsible for leading the production planning and controlling function, ensuring effective planning, scheduling, and control of production processes to meet business objectives and customer demands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Planning:
– Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and strategies.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment.
- Capacity Planning:
– Analyze and optimize production capacity to meet demand.
– Identify and mitigate capacity constraints.
- Material Planning:
– Ensure effective material planning, procurement, and inventory management.
– Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure material availability.
- Production Control:
– Oversee production control processes, including shop floor control and quality control.
– Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
- Performance Metrics:
– Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure PPC performance.
– Analyze data to identify areas for improvement.
– Follow up closely with all the stakeholders for delivering material on time to customer
– Communicate customer about delivery status on regular basis
- Team Leadership:
– Lead and mentor a team of PPC professionals.
– Provide guidance and support to ensure team success.
- Continuous Improvement:
– Identify opportunities for process improvements.
– Implement changes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve productivity.
Requirements:
– 12+ years of experience in production planning and controlling, preferably in manufacturing.
– Strong knowledge of PPC principles, manufacturing processes, and ERP systems.
– Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
– Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.) and PPC software.
Education:
– Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
Certifications:
– Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification.
– Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) certification.
