Job Title: Senior Manager, Accounts and Finance
Reports to: V. P. Operations
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Accounts and Finance to lead our accounting and finance functions in our manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, as well as ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
– Lead and manage the accounting and finance team, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
– Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability
– Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to ensure alignment with business objectives
– Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS), regulatory requirements, and company policies
– Manage and review financial statements, reports, and analyses to ensure accuracy and reliability
– Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement business strategies and initiatives
– Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors, bankers, and financial institutions
– Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
– Ensure internal controls are in place and operating effectively
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA/CMA certification required
– 8+ years of experience in accounting and finance, preferably in the manufacturing industry
– Proven leadership and management skills, with experience leading a team of finance professionals
– Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements
– Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
– Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and financial software
Preferred Qualifications:
– Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
– Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
– Knowledge of financial planning and analysis (FP&A) best practices
– Experience with mergers and acquisitions, or divestitures
