Job Title: Engineering Manager
Reports to: NPD Head
Job Summary:
The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the engineering team, overseeing the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes, and ensuring the efficient operation of production lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership:
– Manage and mentor a team of engineers.
– Provide guidance and support to ensure team success.
- Process Development:
– Oversee the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes.
– Ensure processes are efficient, effective, and meet quality standards.
- Production Support:
– Collaborate with production teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
– Provide technical expertise to ensure production line efficiency.
- Project Management:
– Manage engineering projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
– Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Continuous Improvement:
– Identify opportunities for process improvements.
– Implement changes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve productivity.
- Technical Expertise:
– Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
– Apply technical expertise to improve processes and resolve issues.
- Collaboration:
– Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and maintenance.
– Ensure effective communication and alignment.
Requirements:
– 8+ years of experience in engineering management, manufacturing engineering, or a related field.
– Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, engineering principles, and project management.
– Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
– Proficiency in CAD software, ERP systems, and other engineering tools.
Education:
– Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
Certifications:
– Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE) certification.
– Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
